A few common elements that I see in multiple teacher pages is class overviews and contact information. The most important information that can be on a teachers website in contact information so the parents and students know how to reach the teacher. This can help parents be informed on what's happening in class and lets students know how to reach the teacher if they ever need to reach them outside of the classroom. One example of a website I looked at was my high school's website: largo-hs.
One of the most useful uses of technology that a teacher can use are finding other teachers online and helping students with their assignments. Finding other teachers online that are trying to teach a similar subject can be very useful to a new teacher who is unsure of everything that goes into a lesson plan. More experienced educators can provide their lesson plans and advice to young educators looking to become better teachers. Students can also be more engaged with a lesson if technology is used correctly. It can encourage collaboration and effort among students that might otherwise be missing from doing work on paper.
During Assignment 2, I was very surprised with how well AI made a lesson plan. Through my verification of the lesson plan, it hit almost all of the marks and made a lesson plan that achieved everything I asked for. In the future, I would not use AI to make my lesson plans, but I could trust AI with small tasks that aren't important. Overall, my feelings towards AI remain mostly the same, although I was very impressed with how AI made a lesson plan. I have a much better understanding of lesson plans now and what goes into them. Making lesson plans are not as hard as I once thought they were and they are made even easier by having a checking system to verify that they are solid. Having another teacher read over the lesson plan as well can make sure all the spots are covered and everything is ready for the students to learn.
